Laguna de Apoyo is one of Nicaragua’s most beautiful scenic spots with its picturesque views from the rim and the volcanic sand and rock shoreline. The water is crystal clear with and drops off quickly which makes for great swimming. The water also contains minerals that make you float. The water is also very good for the skin. After spending time in the water your skin feels better than if you spent a day at the spa. On the lake there isn’t much to do and there is very small number of hotel rooms and rental units available. Currently there is a new project going in on the South side of the lake that will provide all the accommodation space needed. Los Congos will be the first high end community on the Laguna.
